Rhythm and MVMNT Summer Camp 2019

Monday – Friday, 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
For 1st – 3rd Grade or returning students

Registration Fee: $345/session
- A $50 non-refundable deposit (that goes towards your registration fee) is due upon registration.
- Please pack your child a lunch. Only snack will be provided.
Rhythm + MVMNT is a cultural arts camp that focuses on self-expression through movement arts using rhythmic exploration and multi-cultural storytelling. It will include, dance and live drumming + capoeira + creative movement + basic tumbling for kids + arts/crafts + morning stretching + folkloric storytelling and coloring. Daily visits to Ocean Beach or Golden Gate Park for site-specific dance and outdoor enrichment.
There will also be special Intro to Capoeira workshops taught by capoeira instructor, Panda Deda, who trains under Mestre Urubu Malandro of Capoeira Ijexa in San Francisco.

9:30 a.m. – 10 a.m. Arrival
10- 11 a.m. – Stretching/Rhythm and Movement Dance
11:00 – 11:15 a.m. – Snack Time
11:15 – 12:15 – Basic Tumbling + Capoeira
12:15 – 1 p.m. – Lunch Time/Coloring
1 – 3:15 p.m. – Outdoor Exploration
3:15 – 4:15 pm. – Arts & Crafts
4:15-4:30 p.m. – Storytelling/Book Reading/Games
4 pm. – 4:30 p.m. Pickup

Once you submit your registration form, please send a $50/non-refundable deposit (which goes towards your camp registration fee) to hold your child’s space.
